It was an memorable night at the Gexa Energy Pavilion on Saturday when Dierks Bentley’s “Sounds of Summer Tour” made a stop with a few friends in tow. That included Kip Moore, Canaan Smith and Maddie & Tae. The girls kicked things off strong and sprinkled in some pop hits that worked with their style. While that was going down, if you were looking, you could find me along with the Hawkeye in the morning crew upgrading people in the lawn with reserved seats! We know you guys love having an awesome time, so we try to be apart of that as much as we can and hung out a bit with some tailgaters we hooked up with KSCS swag. Tailgaiting

We usually try to hook up as many people as we can with any extra tickets we may come across and that’s just what we did on the lawn and if you’ve missed the latest way of getting backstage, we also got to hook up some listeners with backstage passes through Twitter. If you don’t foliow us on Twitter @963KSCS already, you really should! We usually use the hashtag, #PickMeKSCS. So be sure to do that now if you don’t already!

We also had the special opportunity to be apart of something Dierks brings out for his friends on the road, that’s called “Whiskey Row”. Its a little bar he’s set up with a new line of beverages of the adult variety that actually carry his name. He’s working on his brand of brews, so be on the look out for that. He told us a little about it backstage. I was able to snap this picture of him serving himself up his own drink! He was amazingly awesome to us. Forever thankful. He let us watch the rest of his set on the side stage!

Ill add some of the videos we were able to capture from the side stage below for you to check out. He had his openers, Kip, Canaan Smith and Maddie & Tae come out for a few songs and join him on stage. The show was one amazing production full of fire and fireworks! It was absolutely rocking with all his hit songs, from “Am I The Only One” to “Drunk on a Plane” to the ever awesome “Lots of Leaving Left to Do” which Kip Moore joined him on stage for. We can’t wait to have Dierks back! Again special thanks to Dierks himself and his tour manager for allowing us to linger in their working area during the show.
