A week after battling through the flu to play her first headlining show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, Kelsea Ballerini is still dealing with the illness. Kelsea recently posted an update on Instagram, saying that despite her being elated that “Legends” is sitting at No. 1 this week, she’s still in pretty rough shape. Kelsea told fans, “I am covered in sweat on the bathroom floor getting cozy with the commode in yesterday’s clothes with my mom coming over so I can lay in her lap until this flu runs its course.”

Adding to the misery, Kelsea also revealed that the flu has caused her to cancel a writing session, a team celebration and even an Opry performance. The sickness has also given Ballerini a reminder that she’s not invincible, with her writng, “Even during a mountaintop week it will make me sit down and be humble.”
