PARENTS: The FDA says they found asbestos in some of Claire’s and Justice makeup [DETAILS HERE]

THE U-S FOOD AND DRUG ADMINISTRATION HAS ISSUED A WARNING TO CONSUMERS NOT TO USE CERTAIN MAKEUP SOLD BY CLAIRE’S AND JUSTICE RETAILERS BECAUSE IT MIGHT CONTAIN ASBESTOS. THE COMPANY HAS NOT ISSUED A RECALL FOR EYE SHADOW, CONTOUR AND COMPACT POWDER THAT ARE THOUGHT TO BE CONTAMINATED. THE F-D-A DOES NOT HAVE THE POWER TO REQUIRE A RECALL ON COSMETIC’S BUT WANTS TO CHANGE THAT IN THE FUTURE.

THE F-D-A SAID THAT CLAIRE’S DOESN’T BELIEVE THE AFFECTED PRODUCTS ARE STILL FOR SALE AT IT’S STORES.

THE PRODUCTS THAT MAY BE TAINTED INCLUDE EYE SHADOW FROM LOT NUMBER 8/17, COMPACT POWDER FROM LOT 7/15 AND CONTOUR PALETTE FROM LOT 4/17.
